Hugo-palkinnot 2014 jaettu

Hugo-voittajat 2014 julkaistiin eilen illalla Lontoon worldconissa. Ääniä annettiin ennätyksellinen määrä 3587 kpl (edellinen ennätys oli 1923 ääntä). Alla osa kategorioista, loput löytyvät tämän linkin takaa. Tilastoista (pdf) näkee, että suomalaisia ehdokkaitakin on äänestetty. Tähtivaeltaja-lehti on semiprozine listalla, mutta ei yltänyt ehdokkuuteen ja Ninni Aalto jäi harmittavasti vain kolmen (3) äänen päähän Fan Artist -ehdokkuudesta. Gaala oli onnistunut ja hauska, eikä palkintojenjaossa tapahtunut suuria yllätyksiä. Ann Leckien voitto Ancillary Justicella lämmitti mieltä ja kirjailija onkin korjannut tänä vuonna melkoisen potin palkintoja esikoiskirjallaan. Hyvä niin, kirja on sen arvoinen. Myös Sofia Samatarin Campbell-palkinto meni mielestäni oikeaan osoitteeseen.
