Tähtivaeltaja-palkinto 2020 Margaret Atwoodille

Helsingin Science Fiction Seura ry:n Tähtivaeltaja-palkinto on vuonna 2020 myönnetty Margaret Atwoodin Testamentit -romaanille. 2019 parhaan suomeksi julkaistun tieteiskirjan on kääntänyt alkuperäiskielestä Hilkka Pekkanen.

Asiantuntijaraadin perustelun mukaan
”Kirja on tärkeä muistutus siitä, että ääriaatteisiin perustuva sorto ei ole pelkästään menneisyyden haamu, vaan läsnä myös nykyhetkessämme. Samalla teos kertoo siitä, että kaikki alistamisen järjestelmät koostuvat pohjimmiltaan pienistä ihmisistä kaikkine ristiriitaisuuksineen – ja että vastarinta on mahdollista, tarpeellista ja välttämätöntä.”
Margaret Atwood voitti Tähtivaeltaja-palkinnon myös 2016 Uusi maa -teoksellaan. Hän on Philip K. Dickin ohella toinen kirjailija, joka on voittanut palkinnon kahdesti.
